Originally hailing from Haleyville, Alabama, Taner encountered drugs shortly after finishing high school. He endured a 12-year struggle with addiction, seeking assistance from four different rehabilitation centers before finding his way to Impact. It was at Impact that he learned the truth and gained insights into his condition, acquiring the tools needed to maintain sobriety and cultivate a successful life. Through this journey, Taner not only restored all his relationships but also developed a refreshed perspective on life.

The 12-step program was instrumental in leading Taner to sobriety and fostered a new relationship with himself and a higher power, an experience previously unfamiliar to him. After completing the program, he transitioned through several jobs until he had the chance to join our team at Impact.

Upon joining, Taner realized that this was his true calling and what he was meant to pursue. He has since committed himself to aiding others in their recovery, both professionally—by coaching our clients—and personally—by mentoring individuals as a sponsor. Taner's distinctive journey allows him to connect deeply with those in our program.
