Our specialized approach serves those struggling with alcohol or drug addiction, with particular effectiveness for high-functioning individuals who succeed in other life areas but remain trapped by addiction, those who have attempted sobriety multiple times without lasting success, and families seeking holistic healing through a program that actively incorporates loved ones into the recovery process.

Our extensive personal experience in recovery has allowed us to refine our understanding of effective treatment approaches. We eliminate unnecessary components and concentrate on the essential elements of healing. We establish this culture from leadership downward, demonstrating through our own lives that this approach works. We practice authentically what we encourage our clients to embrace.

Bound by shared purpose, Impact Recovery Center exists to empower individuals in their battle against addiction through genuine connection and proven methods. We help our clients rediscover their inherent worth and rebuild fulfilling lives grounded in dignity and authentic healing. Each member of our recovery team has personally completed their own 12-step journey, creating a foundation of experiential knowledge that informs our approach. This lived experience fuels our passion for guiding others toward the same life-changing renewal we've personally witnessed and embodied.
Impact Recovery Center was established by Adams Pritchard and Chad Lentscher. Born and raised in Birmingham, Adams navigated through 17 different treatment facilities nationwide, alongside numerous hospitals, detoxification centers, sober living environments, therapeutic professionals, and psychiatric specialists. Between 2007 and 2015, he experienced multiple incarcerations and participated in countless 12-step meetings, yet sustainable recovery remained elusive. Eventually, in 2015, Adams found himself at a treatment center in Texas that offered something fundamentally different—an authentic presentation of the 12-step process.
This approach finally awakened his spirit, making him receptive to therapeutic intervention and allowing him to return home fundamentally transformed.
Energized by this life-changing experience, he immediately devoted himself to serving others on similar journeys.
Adams and Chad first connected at the Texas recovery facility, developing a meaningful friendship. Soon after, Adams recognized the Southeast region's need for the transformative approach he had experienced in Texas. He shared his vision with Chad for creating a similar program near Birmingham, and subsequently took the courageous step of founding Impact Recovery Center. Once established, he invited Chad to join him in this meaningful endeavor.
Years of experience have revealed that certain industry trends can actually hinder genuine recovery. Adams and Chad remain committed to maintaining a small, intimate community guided by a unified team focused on transformation through authentic 12-step work, personalized clinical support, and comprehensive family engagement. While Adams initially hoped Impact Recovery Center would make a difference, he never anticipated the profound transformations that have unfolded over the years. The entire Impact team remains deeply grateful for the privilege of supporting countless individuals and families in their journey toward renewed living.
